Business Development Manager

Thanks to a successful SEO campaign, the company website webmsuk.com is now on page 1 of Google for ‘SEO Services’, ‘SEO Services UK’ and ‘UK SEO Services’. The director now requires a business development manager to win new business for the company through a mixture of responding to incoming enquiries and generating leads though your own methods. It is an exciting time to join the company which has plans for rapid expansion, which means the right candidate will have the opportunity to take on further responsibility within the company.

Based at: Haslingden, Lancashire.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Salary: Dependant on experience
Commission: Unlimited  
 

As business development manager you will have a proven track record in both telephone and face to face sales. You must be confident in carrying out the entire sales cycle including closing deals, as well as generating your own leads. You will be required to hit stretching but achievable sales targets.

It’s important you have a high level of ambition, drive and tenacity. In return we can offer a highly competitive unlimited commission structure and a good basic salary.

Reporting to the company director your role will be to source, qualify and build solid relationships with new business prospects in order to promote and sell the companies portfolio of SEO Services.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • To actively and professionally manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation, lead management, arranging appointments, preparing proposals and presentations, negotiating and closing deals and finally retaining this relationship by managing the clients account.
  • To meet and exceed the sales targets set by the commercial director.
  • To ensure all sales opportunities are fully explored.
  • To build, manage and maintain a substantial sales pipeline that is accurately documented and kept up to date.
  • To rapidly respond to any new sales enquiries or existing client queries.
  • To thoroughly research and understand potential clients products, industry, competition, marketing goals and overall business requirements.
  • To advise clients on the best services to meet their objectives.
  • To create professional, detailed proposals, presentations, contracts or any other documentation required.
  • To attend meetings with existing and potential clients where necessary.
  • To ensure that your knowledge on SEO and online marketing is kept up to date by networking, researching, reading blogs etc.
  • To represent Web MS UK Ltd at industry events if required.
  • To freely share knowledge, insight and ideas.
  • To strive for excellence across all areas of your work.
  • To represent Web MS UK Ltd in a professional and knowledgeable manner at all times.

 

Key Skills and Experience:

  • A proven and impressive new business track record
  • High sales experience in digital products
  • Good all round knowledge of SEO
  • Proven listening, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – you must be able to deliver clear and concise ideas to both the client and the company director.
  • Analytical with the ability to interpret information, news and data. Then research quickly and distil the most important and relevant information to build intelligent sales strategies for companies of all sizes.
  • Excellent project management and planning skills
  • Proactive and highly organised with strong time management and planning skills.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm and professional under high pressure.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision and thrive on your own initiative.
